Boys’ soccer kicks off the season strong

The team won the first three games easily and outscored their league opponents, 13-2.

They dominated the first game of the season by winning 6-1 against Woodbridge on Jan. 8.

Their second game of the season was against Northwood on Jan.13. Though it was a rough game with quite a few fouls, the boys won 5-1.
They took advantage of their opponents mistakes, capitalizing on a goal scored on a penalty kick against Northwood’s second-string goalie after the first-string goalie was pulled out of the game by the referee.

The boys’ won their third game, 2-0, against Huntington Beach on Jan. 15.

We were in control of the ball for the majority of the game and seniors Alex Cannas and Freddie Razo had many opportunities to score goals.

Razo scored the first goal as the team opened the lead against Huntington.

Defense played well and did not allow the ball to get past them very often, but on the rare occasion it did, Wesley Harris, keeper, saved the team from allowing Huntington Beach to score.
